Members In Disarray As Man, 29, Batters Pastor During Church Service

Members of the Mountain of Solution Ministries International in Lagos State were thrown into disarray after a 29-year old man, Ayobami Olugbero Adio, invaded the church and battered the Pastor, Moses Adebayo, during a church service. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 26th October, 2025, at Iya -Oloye Crescent, Onigbongbo, Maryland, Lagos, where the church is located.
The suspect, Adio, has been arrested and charged for the alleged assault against Pastor Adebayo under the Criminal Law of the State over his alleged conduct against the complainant.
The attack was said to have disrupted the church service and some members were forced to leave the church as the suspect threatened violence.
The cause of the fight between the suspect and Pastor Adebayo was not disclosed by the Police.
However, the alleged assault was reported to the Police at Ikeja Division. The suspect was then arrested and detained at the station for interrogation over his alleged conduct.
After rounds of interrogation, the Police found him culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charges read:
COUNT 1: “That you, Ayobami Olugbero Adio ‘m’ on the 26th of October 2025, at about 0800hrs, at Mountain of Solution Ministries International at No. 6A Iya -Oloye Crescent, Onigbongbo, Maryland area of Lagos, in the Ikeja Magisterial District, did assault one Pastor Moses Adebayo ‘m’ by dragging him and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 171 and punishable under Section 172 of Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.”
COUNT II:”That you, Ayobami Olugbero Adio ‘m’ on the same day, time, place and in the aforementioned Magisterial District, did conduct yourself in a manner likely to cause breach of peace by forcefully removing the keys to the church and also causing fear to members of the church and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 168 (d) of Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.”
COUNT III:”That you, Ayobami Olugbero Adio ‘m’ on the 27th of October day of 2025 at Mountain of Solution Ministries International at about 10am at No. 6A Iya Oloye Crescent, Onigbongbo, Maryland area of Lagos, in the Ikeja Magisterial District, did steal one outdoor LG Air conditioner valued N200,000.00 (two hundred thousand Naira only), property of Mountain of Solution Ministries International and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 280 and punishable under Section 287 of Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.”
However, he pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, Supol Philip Ademigbuji, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Kusanu, granted him bail with two sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
