Posted on April 1, 2018

Chief Sir Felix Idiga – the President, Jafac Group and APC House of Representatives Aspirant, Orlu /Orsu and Oru-East Federal Constituency has advised that the messages and sobriety of Easter should outlast the season.

Chief Idiga in his Easter message said, “Easter is the moment where all Christians around the world celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It signifies a moment of continued acceptance for all Christians and demonstrates a renewed hope and assurance for the redemption of all souls.

Easter, also highlights a time when death and evil were overpowered; a moment of resurrection and renewal. The narratives from the Holy Bible espouse us to the suffering of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary. It also tells us about the importance of Jesus’ death and resurrection and how it relates to love, compassion and empathy. It gives us the opportunity to be aware that our living on earth is for a purpose, which is serving God and impacting lives positively by giving back to the society and humanity”

Chief Idiga said that the JAFAC FOUNDATION, a humanitarian foundation which he cofounded with his wife had been an immense niche of fulfillment to his family. He said that the joy emanates from the many lives God has used him and his wife to give meanings and purposefulness. He further posited that the messages and sobriety of the Easter period should outlast the season; that we must be committed to endowing the less privileged with some kindness beyond the season.

Chief Idiga advised that as we approach the electioneering period, that genuine love most importantly should guide our political engagements. He said that it should not be a period of do or die affair. He posited that the people must be left with the opportunity to choose their leaders from the pack of the few that had continued to identify with them both in the electioneering season and out of season. Sir Idiga maintained that the people must not be disenfranchised into having leaders who they don’t want.

He said that his Easter message has been encapsulated thus: ‘We must continue to be our brothers’ and sisters’ keeper all the time’.
