The wife of the Governor of Anambra State and founder of charity organization, Caring Family Enhancement Initiative (CAFE), Dr. Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano (Osodieme), has urged Nigerians, particularly Anambra women not to allow the challenges of the past dampen their morale, hope and trust in God’s favour in the coming year 2021.

Mrs Obiano made the call in a Special New Year message signed by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Emeka Ozumba, in Awka, Anambra.

According to Mrs Obiano, “The fact that we survived the fast ending year with its attendant challenges is enough impetus for us to approach the New Year with greater hope and belief in God to change things for the better.”

Continuing she said that no one cannot afford to despair, but rather everybody should approach the new year with renewed hope and vigour, adding it was the only  way to build positively on every aspect of our daily lives.

“I have no doubt that the New Year will see us gradually move with renewed hope and triumph from the challenges of health and economic hardship to great accomplishments”, she stated.

Mrs Obiano reiterated the need for people to be their brothers and sisters keepers by supporting the less privileged in the society, especially in time of privation. She promised to sustain the various skills training and programmes of CAFE which targets and empowers indigent widows, women and youths as well other life-changing interventions in the new year.

She insisted that with prayers and collective support the New year will bring new hope and prosperity to all.
