National Stadium Hosts Lagos Open Secondary School Swimming Tourney

A 3-day Open Swimming Championship for Secondary Schools sponsored by the Lagos State Sports Commission and organized by the Lagos State Swimming Association will hold from 25-27 May, 2018 at the National Stadium Swimming Pool, Surulere, Lagos.

The Championship which is open to Students (Boys and Girls) in Public and Private Secondary Schools in Lagos State is in two categories; Junior Secondary School (JSS) and Senior Secondary School (SSS).

The Championship, according to the Executive Chairman of the Sports Commission, Dr. Kweku Adedayo Tandoh is being organized in line with one of the core mandates of the Lagos State Sports Commission; to discover and nurture sports talents within the state. He stated further that outstanding swimmers will be selected to represent the state at the National Youth Games coming up in September 2018.

Prizes will also be given to all first, second and third place winners and certificates of participation to all participants.
