National Youth Council of Nigeria Pays Courtesy Visit To Anambra Speaker

The Executives of the Nnewi South Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, yesterday, came on a courtesy call to the Office of the Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Rita Maduagwu.

The group led by the LGA Coordinator, Comrade Chekwube Augustine Okeke, lauded the Speaker for her receptiveness and prompt host in spite of the short notice.

Madam Speaker congratulated them for emerging amongst others in the last congress of the Association. She charged them to see their election as a call to service, pledging to support all their community and youth oriented programs.

The NYCN is an Umbrella body of Youth Associations in the country, with a mandate to galvanize youths for Social development and support of all positive youth related initiatives of government at the National, State and Local Government levels.

Speaking on behalf of the visiting Youths, Comrade Okeke appreciated the astute Legislator for her deft legislative achievements in her Constituency and Nnewi South generally. He described her as the Pride of Nnewi South LGA. In his words,

“Madam Speaker, you remain the very reason why Nnewi South can hold her head high in the comity of LGAs in our Anambra State. As youths in Nnewi South, we are determined to uphold all that will positively affect the people we represent. You are a one of such projects we hope to sustain. When the time comes we shall do our bit. All we came here to do is to appreciate and encourage you not to relent in your good works. Nnewi South youths remain grateful to God for the gift of you in our LGA”.

The visit ended with photo sessions and other filial interactions.
