Chief Dr Samuel Ogbuku, the NDDC MD, on Tuesday, 17th March, 2026, had the pleasure of hosting one of the Niger Delta’s finest musical ambassadors, Burna Boy, who hails from Ogbogolo Community in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The Grammy Award-winning icon and global brand visited the Commission alongside his father, Samuel Ogulu, on a maiden engagement to explore avenues for collaboration and support towards the development of Ahoada West.
Inspired by their commitment to community advancement, Dr Ogbuku reaffirmed the readiness of the NDDC to partner with them in driving sustainable development initiatives.
While commending their passion for the growth of their community, Dr Ogbuku also encouraged Burna Boy to champion initiatives that will attract greater investment and development to Port Harcourt, the city that played a key role in his journey.
In line with this, the NDDC will commence the installation of solar-powered streetlights in Ogbogolo Community next week, followed by the award of contracts for the construction of internal roads within the area.
