The president of the group, Eze Nwokedi, explained the significance of the celebration which was embedded in unity and love among members, stressing that Ndi Igbo Buru Otu Association celebrates members when they are still alive and not when they are dead.
Nwokedi believes that it is better to celebrate loved ones when they are alive than when such person dies as he will not know what happens when he is no more.

The President explained that the group’s vision is the welfare of the members and the association has impacted and empowered members in different ways including given them loans, assisting them to become landlords, taking care of the widows and less privileged in the society.
Eze Nwokedi explained that the group takes the welfare of its members seriously to the extent that if a member invites them to an event, the association has agreed to honour such event with N2m, which has been a source of motivation for members.
The climax of the event was the cutting of the birthday cake and prayer led by Rev. Moses Okwuosa, who asked God to continue to show mercy, love and protection on the celebrants and members of Ndi Igbo Buru Otu.
