Ndigbo in Lagos State have reportedly blasted Chief Sunday Ossai over his desperation to be Ohanaeze Ndigbo President by going to APC Chieftain, Cardinal Odunmbaku (Baba Eto) and knelt down for several minutes begging for support him after he was allegedly swindled by members of the Igbo cabals, who had promised to install him as President.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the move was belated as Baba Eto has already given the current President of Ohaneze Ndigbo Lagos State, Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene, his full support and recognized the newly formed Ohanaeze Political Forum, which he Inaugurated with Chief Chris Ekwilo as the Chairman.
After Baba Eto had publicly identified with Chief Aguene, the members of the cabals were said to have told Chief Sunday Ossai that they were going to arrange so that he will meet Baba Eto and solicit for his support and they took him there.

However, the drama started when Baba Eto came out to meet with Ossai, he was said to be visibly shaking as he knelt down and started begging for support to the surprise of the old man he had never met before.
The photographs of his desperate action later surfaced on social media, which attracted several condemnation by Ndigbo both within and outside Lagos.
A Lagos resident, Tony Okereke, reacted angrily by saying that it was ridiculous for Chief Ossai to have done that because it is not the culture of Ndigbo to do so.
“Kneeling down for Baba Eto? Oh mehn this is absurd. How can? Chai see degrading..should this inferiority complex continue? It means we the Igbos in Lagos will be objects of mockery. Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene can’t do this at all; he’s a man with a swag.”
Another resident, Chief Mrs. Vivian Obi, described Ossai’s action as an act of desperation to become Ohanaeze Ndigbo President and stated that he has committed abomination because that is not part of Igbo culture and tradition.
Another stakeholder, Chief Chibuzor Dike, regretted that Chief Ossai has desecrated Igbo culture and tradition, which means he was not even fit to be Chief talk less of being the leader of the Igbo in Lagos State. He called the Ohanaeze Ndigbo President, Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene, to sanction him.
However, Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene stated that there will be no sanctions on him and urged that all members should have sympathy for Ossai because he has entered into the hands of members of the cabals, who had made promises to him and did not fulfill them.
P.M.EXPRESS reports had highlighted that Chief Sunday Ossai had been in the eyes of the storm after he was allegedly swindled huge sums of money by members of the cabals, who promised he would be made President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State.
In order to fulfill their fake promise, the members of the cabals conducted a kangaroo election and declared Chief Ossai as President but he later realized that there was a valid Court judgment, which empowered Chief Aguene to continue in office.
Having realized the ugly situation he found himself, he has become desperate as he cannot get access to the Ohanaeze Secretariat and had to resort to having meetings in bar joints and lounges around Lagos while his earlier supporters have since abandoned him to his fate.
