NDLEA Celebrity Drug Free Club Celebrates At 5

Nigeria’s prestigious NDLEA Celebrity Drug Free Club, is celebrating its five years of existence, impact and changing of lives.
The club comprises of credible men and women who are indigenous celebrities of proven track records known to have risen to the top of their career by dint of hard work and dedication. They serve as role models, mentors and champions worthy of emulation.
According to the National Coordinator, NDLEA Celebrity Drug Free Club, Wilson Ehi Ighodalo, given the influence celebrities have on young people, they have no doubt that their involvement in the awareness against the menace of drugs in Nigeria will continue to yield positive results as days and years continue to count.

Some of the primary objectives of NDLEA Celebrity Drug Free Club include: Serving as role models to colleagues and youth in the society, increased understanding of the dangers posed by drug and substance abuse with their platforms, encouraging young people to resist drug use, identify those who use and encouraging them to seek help, support/promote youth oriented activities that promote healthy lifestyle in the society and promoting positive youth oriented programs that provide alternative activities to drug involvement.
Looking back at the last five impactful years, Mr. Wilson Ighodalo expressed his gratitude to the celebrities for accepting to lend their voices, time and resources to the campaign against drug and substance abuse in our society. He appreciates them for speaking the truth all the time, being good listeners, hardly taking offense, being reliable and having the appetite to help all the time. He said that the club had been engaged in aggressive campaigns since it was inaugurated and they are poised to do more in their bid to change lives.
“They are supportive and above all they have the fear of God. I am delighted for the opportunity and privilege to contribute to this worthy cause and I am committed to this cause that shapes humanity.
