The lawmaker representing Ikeja Constituency 2 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Adedamola Richard Kasunmu (ARK), has congratulated his constituents and Lagosians on the occasion of Nigeria’s 62nd Independence Anniversary celebration, while calling for a peaceful electioneering process following INEC’s formal nod for political campaigns flag-off.
In his Independence Anniversary message, Hon Kasunmu said, “On this auspicious occasion of the 62nd Independence Anniversary celebration, I warmly congratulate the great people of Ikeja Constituency 2 and all Nigerians for witnessing another independence Anniversary of our dear nation. I also commend your tenacity, resilience and firm belief in the growth of democracy and good governance in our nation”.
“As a country and people, Nigeria might not yet be where we expect it to be, but there are great rays of hope of a better nation, especially as we march towards 2023 Elections.”
“With the official flag-off of the political campaigns, I urge us all to conduct ourselves in peaceful and orderly manners devoid of rancour and violence both during the campaigns and elections.”
“A greater, stronger and more prosperous Nigeria is about to emerge and this will happen in our time! Let’s therefore join hands together and make the right choices in our leadership recruitment process. Let us shun primordial sentiments and those things that divide us.”
” Let us choose competence, sound experience, sincerity of purpose, unity and progressive tendencies above all other considerations. This is what our party, the APC and all its candidates from Presidential to all other levels represent.”
“As we mark this 62nd Independence Anniversary therefore, let us renew our hope, enthusiasm and belief in our nation. We shall surely get there!”
“God bless Ikeja Constituency 2!
God bless Lagos State!!
God bless Nigeria!!!
Happy Independence Day Celebration to you all” Hon Kasunmu concluded.
