All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Lagos State, Prince Hammed Olanrewaju Mohammed says Nigeria would be better under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

The former Financial Secretary of APC Lagos State, who is fondly called Prince H.O., while addressing journalists in Lagos at the weekend, explained that the present government is committed to the welfare of the citizens, adding that very soon the good people of Nigeria would begin to see the dividends of democracy and good governance of the Tinubu’s administration.

“President Tinubu has prepared well for the task ahead and he loves this country. The pain we are passing through now would turn to gains very soon. Nigerians may be facing tough time now, but I can assure our people that better days lie ahead,” he said.

On the removal of fuel subsidy, the APC stalwart said the removal of fuel subsidy is necessary as way of reducing unnecessary spending. He admitted that the country cannot survive on fuel subsidy, adding that what Tinubu’s administration did was good step in the right direction.

“I know Nigerians are feeling the pain of the subsidy removal with the high cost of petrol, but the fact still remains that the country cannot continue to subsidize fuel for our neigbouring states at the detriment of the government. I want to assure that soonest, Nigerians would enjoy this government than before,” said Mohammed, who was former APC Senatorial Youth Leader, Lagos Central Senatorial District.

In his own comment, President of Lagos Hotelier Association, Oluomo Talabi Jamiu expressed delight with the present administration and urged Nigerians to give Tinubu necessary support to move the country forward.

He said the administration had started well by removing the subsidy and reduction of taxes for manufacturing companies, adding that the decision would help the economic growth and reduce the unemployment rates in the country.
