NSCDC Arrest Man, 48, Over Defilement Of 3 Daughters

Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Anambra State Command, have arrested a 48-year old man for allegedly defiling his three underage daughters.

This was contained in a statement issued in Awka by the NSCDC Public Relations Officer, Anambra State Command, ASC I Okadigbo Edwin.

According to him, the 48-year old pedophile, Mr. Igbo Thomas, who hails from Okolo Ani Village, Igbo Etiti LGA of Enugu State but resides at Enuoji Village, Enugwu-Ukwu in Njikoka L.G.A. of Anambra State, was arrested for having unlawful canal knowledge of his three biological daughters, who are aged 8 years, 3 years, and 18 months respectively.

The statement read: “On 24th May, 2021, at about 11:00hrs, based on the complaints to the Command by an NGO Child Protection Network, CPN, that a man had been having unlawful canal knowledge of his biological daughters aged 8, 3,18 months, the State Commandant of NSCDC Anambra State Command, Comdt David Bille, FCIA, raised and instructed a team of detectives from Intelligence and Investigation Department to effect the arrest of the suspect”.
“The team immediately swung into action through intelligence-led operation, and at about 16:00hrs same day arrested one Mr. IGBO THOMAS ‘m’ of  OKOLO ANI VILLAGE IGBO ETITI LGA ENUGU STATE  but residing at  ENUOJI VILLAGE, Enugwu Ukwu in Njikoka L.G.A. of Anambra State.”

“Upon interrogation, the suspect initially denied but when he was confronted by his daughters, he became dumbfounded and confessed to have committed the crime but under the influence of alcohol. The children were quickly taken to hospital for medical attention.”

“The State Commandant has ordered for discrete investigation, after which the suspect will be charged to Court.”

In a related development, the NSCDC also arrested an Awka-based suspected cultist, Solomon Isaac, who jumped into the premises of the NSCDC Headquarters, in search for safety, as a rival cult gang was after his life.

Disclosing this to newsmen, the Civil Defence PRO, Edwin said, “On  24/ 05/2021, at about 1935hrs, a suspected cultist, Solomon Isaac ‘m’ aged 28, of Ejule town Ofu LGA of Kogi State but residing at Road 2 Abuja Estate, Awka, was arrested when he jumped into the office premises of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Anambra State Command”.
“Upon interrogation, he confessed to being chased by some cultists, who were trailing him before he jumped into the premises of NSCDC.”

“Investigation is ongoing and upon conclusion the suspect will be charged to Court.”
