The National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, Ogun State Chapter, has finally taken over their Secretariat situated along Asero, Abeokuta Ibadan Road.

The NURTW Chairman, Alhaji Mustapha Ismail Adewale, a.k.a Yaro Ade, led by the men of the Nigeria Police and accompanied by some of the members of the union went on inspection and took inventory of properties left in the building.

During the inspection, it was discovered that a lot of properties had been damaged and office furniture taken away.

The NURTW Ogun State was proscribed by the Ogun State Assembly and according to them; it was due to the misunderstanding between the Union and some aggrieved members and equally to avoid the breakdown of law and order in the State.

As a law abiding Union, the NURTW took the issue to Court and got a Court ruling that the Union has every right to associate and the Secretariat was permitted to be opened.
