NYG Football: Eko Boys Shock Ogun In Thrilling 3-1 Result

The Lagos State male football team started on the front foot as they knocked Ogun 3-1 in the ongoing 2023 South-West Zonal Eliminations Ball Games at the Ilaji Stadium, Akanran, Ibadan, Oyo State on Thursday.
The zonal elimination tournament is for the states in the southwest to pick tickets for the ball games in the coming National Youth Games holding in Asaba, Delta State next month.
Lagos boys fighting spirit, determination and teamwork paid off in the early stage of the encounter before Dolapo Oyetunji scored an opener three minutes after the kickoff.
An own goal from Yekini Akeem levelled the score line to 1-1, but a resilient forward, Akinde Samuel unbelievable goal in the 63rd minutes by the side of post threw the stadium into a wild jubilation.
Bolu Thompson third goal shocked the Ogun side, but the Lagos team are not relenting as they continue to press home for more goals.
Eko boys next match is against Ekiti State at the same venue.
It will be an interesting game as they will be banking on the experience and past records to earn the slot.
