Obesere At 60: Top Sidophobians Waheed Salaudeen, Ganiyou Moustapha & Ogunleye Lead Donations For Multi-Million Naira Mosque Project

As part of their tribute to the legendary Fuji musician, Abass Akande Obesere, on his 60th birthday, Sidophobians, his official fan club, has taken on a transformative project to refurbish the Iponri Grammar School Mosque.

This mosque, located in Obesere’s alma mater, is being upgraded into a high-standard, state-of-the-art facility as a mark of appreciation for his impact on music and society.

Generous donations have powered the project, which is already 55% complete. Notable contributors include:

Waheed Salaudeen Buruj, Chairman of Buruj Sports Academy – ₦3 Million

Ganiyou Moustapha CEO ISAT Global Services Limited – ₦250,000

Ogunleye Hammed Mudashiri – ₦50,000

The mission is to complete and hand over the project to the school by January 25, 2025, as part of a week-long celebration honoring Obesere’s illustrious career and contributions.

Olumide Orogunle, Head of the Event Sponsorship and Marketing Committee, are still appealing for further support to bring the project to full completion.

Contributions in cash, materials, or logistical support are welcome, and all donors will receive public recognition during and after the celebrations.
