Renowned Fuji music star and philanthropist, Alhaji Abass Akande Obesere, has once again demonstrated his commitment to community development and education by commissioning a multi-million Naira mosque at Ipori Grammar School, Lagos.

The event, which was marked by joy and gratitude, served as an avenue for the music icon to inspire students on the value of education and the importance of maintaining strong spiritual and moral foundations.

The newly commissioned mosque stands as a testament to Obesere’s dedication to giving back to the community. The mosque, which features modern facilities, was built to provide a serene place of worship for students, staff, and the surrounding community. With its beautiful architecture and state-of-the-art amenities, the mosque is poised to become a central point for spiritual activities at the school.

Speaking at the event, Obesere expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people.

“This mosque is not just a place of worship; it is a symbol of hope, unity, and dedication to the future of our children. Education and spirituality go hand in hand, and I am honoured to contribute to both,” he stated.

In addition to commissioning the mosque, Obesere used the occasion to address the students of Ipori Grammar School. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of education as a tool for personal and societal transformation.

“Education is the key to unlocking your potential,” he told the students. “With determination and focus, there is no limit to what you can achieve. Always remember that knowledge and discipline will take you far in life.”

His words were met with applause and appreciation from the students, many of whom expressed their admiration for his generosity and inspiring message. For many of them, the event was a reminder of the power of hard work and the importance of giving back to the community.

The commissioning ceremony was attended by notable community leaders, school staff, parents, and members of the Lagos Muslim community. The principal of Ipori Grammar School praised Obesere for his generosity, highlighting how the mosque would not only serve as a place of worship but also as a beacon of inspiration for the students.

“This mosque is a blessing to our school,” the principal said. “It will not only enrich the spiritual lives of our students but also inspire them to strive for excellence in all areas of their lives. We are deeply grateful to Alhaji Obesere for his kind gesture.”

The event also served as a reminder of the importance of community involvement in fostering growth and development. Obesere’s act of generosity highlights how individuals can contribute to societal progress by investing in initiatives that uplift communities.
