Obiano Charges Police Officers On Diligence, Committed Service

The Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano has charged police officers in the state to remain always committed, diligent and dedicated in the discharge of their duties and shun all forms of corrupt practices in other to sustain the intergrity of the institution. 

Gov Obiano made this call at the Exco Chambers of the Government House, Awka during the decoration ceremony of newly promoted officers serving in his office.

The promoted officers included, the Chief Security Officer to the Governor, Superintendent of Police, Chinedu Aniagbaoso, who was promoted to Chief Superintendent of Police; the Commander of the Guards and the Orderly to the wife of the Governor.

While performing the function, Gov Obiano described the elevated police officers as dedicated, hardworking and team players, and that their promotions were well-deserved.

Congratulating them, the Governor said that their promotions were to serve as motivation to all officers and men serving in the State, that if they work hard, they would be rewarded.

The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Garba Umar, in his remarks at the ceremony urged the police officers and men not to waver in their loyalty to authority and commitment to duty but to see the promotion as a call to be more dedicated in what they do.

The promoted officers expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Governor, for his support, fatherly love and care, and also to the Inspector General of Police and Commissioner of Police Anambra State Command.
