The Council, Management, Staff, and Students of the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro (now Federal University of Technology, Ilaro), have expressed profound appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi, over the Official Gazette confirming the elevation of the institution.
In a message of appreciation signed by the Rector, Dr. Akinde M. A. FCA FCTI, they said, “The Council, Management, Staff, and Students of the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro extend our profound appreciation to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the Aremo of Yewaland, the Most Distinguished Senator Dr. Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, FCA, FCTI, FPPI, for their outstanding leadership and support towards the elevation of our institution”.
“This milestone achievement is the result of the unwavering dedication, collective vision, and hard work of all stakeholders, council members, management, staff, students, and the wider community. Special recognition is given to Arc. Aluko Olanrewaju Olusegun, Ph.D, who initiated the bill, and to our late, revered leader, Dr. Raheem Adisa Oloyo, of blessed memory. May Almighty God reward him with Aljanat Firdaus. We encourage all colleagues to honour his legacy at the upcoming memorial lecture on August 14.”
“It is a personal honour to have presented the final bill on the Federal University of Technology, Ilaro (FUTI) at the National Assembly in Abuja. The success of that presentation would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of the Deputy Rector (Administration), Tpl. Lukman Ademola Lasisi and his committee, whose dedication ensured a seamless process.”
“Since 1979, our academic journey has been marked by excellence, and today, we proudly stand as arguably the best Polytechnic in Nigeria. This transformation owes much to the visionary leadership of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, whose effective representation in the Senate and relentless commitment to educational advancement in Ogun West are unparalleled. His interventions have translated into visible infrastructural developments and policy successes that will benefit the Polytechnic and the region for years to come.”
“Let us recognize this accomplishment not only as a moment of celebration but as a clarion call to remain united in advancing our institution. On behalf of the entire Polytechnic community, we say a heartfelt thank you to President Tinubu and Senator Adeola for their transformative roles in this historic achievement. We remain committed to building on this legacy for a brighter future. Congratulations to all.”
