The National President of the Association of Digital Media Core Advocates, ADMCA, Dr. Chuma-Odili Harris Udokamma a.k.a Ogene Igbo, on Saturday expressed shock and grief at the passage of the lawmaker representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, describing him as a great philanthropist.
In a statement made available to newsmen, Ogene, who said the passing of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah was a tremendous loss to Anambra online media community and to Anambra State, pointed out that the Anambra online media community had been the beneficiaries of the deceased’s great philanthropy over the years.
The statement read: “It was with great sorrow that my family and I heard the passing away of the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, a great philanthropist. In the years I knew him, his moral and physical strength, and his dedication to service were an inspiration to many”.
Ogene said Anambra was indeed lucky to be the home of the Late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah because the State felt his impact “especially in human capital development, sports, and entertainment, for which he was a great patron”.
Saying that he would miss not only the Senator’s contribution towards the growth of the Anambra media and entertainment industry but also his person and all he stood for, Ogene declared, “I have very fond personal memories of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, He was always blunt when dishing out his sage advice but I knew it was because he genuinely cared about the welfare and progress of the State and its people”.
The Ogbunike born culture activist, who prayed that God would grant the Senator Ifeanyi Ubah Family the fortitude to bear the great loss, added, “History will remember Senator Ifeanyi Ubah as a great philanthropist. His legacy will live on because he made his mark in the private and public sectors and in the lives of numerous individuals. May his soul rest in eternal peace”.
