A Pan-Yewa Sociocultural Organisation, Yewaland Development Forum, YDF, has adopted and solicits support for the candidature of its Grand-Patron, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) for the 2027 Ogun Governorship race.

APC Governorship hopeful, Aremo Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, an indigene of Ilaro-Yewa, is currently representing Ogun West Senatorial District in the 10th Senate. He is also the Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriation and member of several other strategic Senate Committees.

In a statement, the President of the organisation, Ogbeni Wasiu Adeniyi Fagbohun, noted that, “By providence, Senator Adeola’s homecoming and his governorship aspiration is an answered prayer to many years of Ogun West agitation for governorship. His eventual success in the governorship election will usher in the much desired socioeconomic prosperity for Ogun West in particular and the Gateway State in general”.

“By his pedigree, antecedents and political trajectory since beginning of Nigeria’s current Fourth Republic, Yayi has acquired enormous experience, capacity and competence to govern and lead Ogun State from 2027 to a new era of prosperity and progress. His legislative acumen, political sagacity leadership qualities, experience, courage and determination, culminating in his landmark achievements in the past 27 years, and quite recently in the last two years of meritorious and purposeful representation as Senator representing Ogunwest in the Senate, have combined to project him as the best man for Ogun State governorship position in 2027.”

Drawing attention to Yayi’s phenomenal and unprecedented record-breaking performances as Ogun West Senator in the last two and half years, Ogbeni Fagbohun stated that Aremo Adeola has succeeded in bridging the developmental gaps between Ogun West and other Senatorial Districts in Ogun State.

He said, “Under Yayi’s representation, Ogun West has continued to witness massive socioeconomic transformation through huge investment in road infrastructure, educational advancement, healthcare services, provision of social amenities, human capital development, youth and women empowerment programs and agricultural support initiatives. Senator Adeola has undoubtedly delivered on his mandate. He has fulfilled his electoral promises and earned the trust and confidence of the people”.

The YDF President further clarified and emphasized the organisation’s commitment to Yayi’s gubernatorial ambition saying, ‘It is a great pleasure and privilege for YDF as a frontline sociocultural organisation in Yewaland to be associated with Senator Adeola. Having him as our Grand-Patron has really shored-up the credibility, status and relevance of the organisation. This has therefore, bequeathed on the organisation, a huge responsibility of aligning with and supporting his governorship aspiration. To this end, YDF leadership has embarked on strategic grassroots mobilization and sensitisation of our people to drum up support for this project”.

“One of such immediate steps, according to the President is that “YDF Stakeholders Committee, in its last meeting, has mandated to all members of the organisation to embark on an aggressive mobilization and sensitisation of our people in Lagos and across the nation to fully take advantage of the fresh INEC PVC Registration exercise to register and obtain their PVCs from their various towns and communities in Yewaland so that they could cast their votes at home in the 2027 elections”.

Ogbeni Fagbohun further stated that “YDF remains unwaveringly committed and loyal to our benefactor, Yayi, and by the grace of God, the organisation will leave no stones unturned to ensure a resounding success of his political ambition in 2027”.

He concluded, “For obvious reasons, and for the simple fact that the ban on political activities is yet to be lifted, our strategies for achieving Yayi’s electoral success are, at the moment, under wraps and at the appropriate time, YDF shall launch out in a very big form to herald our support for ensuring a resounding victory for Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola in the 2027 Governorship Elections”.
