At the meeting, it was resolved that Ndigbo will no longer accept and allow an illegal Ohanaeze to operate in Lagos State because it has affected Ndigbo in various ways fanning disunity among Ndigbo in the State.

The General Assembly gave Chief Aguene and his executives the mandate to arrest and prosecute any individual or group parading themselves as Ohanaeze leaders apart from the Ohanaeze recognized under the leadership of Chief Solomon Aguene.

The meeting also recognized that Chief Solomon Aguene has a valid Court judgment, which declared him as the president of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State and any person or group that are not satisfied with the Lagos State High Court judgement by Justice L.A.M Folami should go back to the Court and vacate it.

The General Assembly also recognized Senator Mbata as the president of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide and directed Ohanaeze Lagos State to give him every support to succeed and unite Ndigbo.

The decision by the General Assembly may have ended the leadership crises in Ohanaeze for the past three over claims by Chief Sunday Ossai led group that the tenure of Chief Aguene has elapsed and election was conducted where Chief Ossai emerged as president and Chief Robert Obasi as Secretary.

Meanwhile, the Police at Force headquarters at Alagbon Annex in Lagos State are still investigating Chief Sunday Ossai for allegedly conducting an illegal Ohanaeze meeting following a petition to the AIG over the conduct of Chief Ossai to cause breach of public peace in the State.
