Ojodu LCDA Fosters Religious Harmony With Inauguration Of Inter-Religious Council

In a significant move towards promoting unity and peace, Ojodu LCDA recently inaugurated Nigerian Inter-Religious Council (NIREC). This move aims to strengthen the bond among different religious communities within the LCDA.
The Nigeria Inter-Religious Council (NIREC) is a voluntary Association formed by the representatives of the two principal Religions – that is Christianity and Islam in Nigeria, on the 11th day of September, 1999.
Representing the Executive Chairman, Hon. Olaide Bello, the Secretary to the Local Government, highlighted the council’s importance in fostering harmony and cooperation among religious groups. He commended the religious leaders for their unwavering support and prayers for the administration and urged them to continue their commitment to peace and prosperity.
The newly inaugurated council will be co-chaired by Alhaji Abdul-Razaq Thanni and SP. AP Pastor (Dr.) Fadeyi Peter Bantale, representing the Muslim and Christian communities respectively. Their leadership symbolizes the LCDA’s commitment to inclusivity and collaboration across religious lines.
With this step, Ojodu LCDA reaffirmed its dedication to religious tolerance, understanding, and cooperation, setting an example for communities everywhere.
