Ojodu LCDA Hosts Security Meeting With Heads Of Security Formations

In a concerted effort to bolster security within the Ojodu LCDA, the Council convened a high-level security meeting with heads of various security formations at the Council Secretariat.
This crucial gathering underscores the Council’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents.
The meeting was chaired by the Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku and was attended by senior representatives from the Nigeria Police Force, Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps, NSCDC, NDLEA and other key security agencies.
The primary agenda of the meeting was to assess the current security landscape, address emerging issues and develop a coordinated response strategy to enhance community safety.
In his opening remarks, Hon. Odunmbaku emphasized the importance of a collaborative approach to security.
He stated, “The safety and security of our residents are of paramount importance. Today’s meeting is a testament to our collective resolve to create a secure environment where people can live, work and thrive with peace”.
During the meeting, participants reviewed recent security incidents and identified hotspots requiring immediate attention. Strategies discussed included increased patrols, enhanced intelligence sharing, community policing initiatives and the deployment of advanced security technologies. Emphasis was placed on fostering closer cooperation between security agencies and community members to ensure a proactive and responsive security framework.
The heads of the security formations expressed their commitment to working closely with the Ojodu LCDA to implement the agreed-upon measures while also highlighting the need for continuous dialogue and resource allocation for effective security operations.
