Ojodu LCDA Intensifies Flood Prevention Efforts With Ongoing Drainage Desilting In Dapson Street, Okeira

As part of sustained efforts to promote environmental sanitation and prevent flooding during the rainy season, Ojodu Local LCDA has commenced ongoing desilting of drainage channels along Dapson Street in Okeira, Ward C.
The exercise, initiated under the leadership of the Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, is aimed at ensuring free flow of water through drainage systems and improving environmental conditions within Okeira community.
Residents of the area have welcomed the intervention, describing it as timely and necessary, particularly as the rainy season intensifies.
The desilting operation is expected to reduce the risk of flooding, protect roads and properties whilst enhancing public health by eliminating blocked drains and stagnant water.
