Ojodu LCDA & Kennol Limited Inducts Youth Trainee Technicians

Ojodu LCDA youths, who were selected as beneficiaries of the professional training course that was facilitated by the administration of Hon Segun Odunmbaku in partnership with Kennol Limited, were formally inducted today at an elaborate but formal ceremony in Kennol Limited Headquarters.

Hon. Segun Odunmbaku expressed delight at the event, which has been his vision right from when he was scribe of Local Governments at two different periods and now being implemented by the commencement of professional training activities for the youths to equip them with globally relevant skills as envisioned by his administration in seeking capacity building through public private partnerships in implementing youth focused and oriented development as enshrined in the H.E.Y.S agenda.

“We look forward to implementing more policies on youth development through capacity building initiatives such as this to further entrench our commitment towards making young people realize thier potentials and aspirations in life through the acquisition of skills that would make them self reliant. I also implore the beneficiaries of this lofty progamme to take full advantage of this capacity building initiative because of its world class vocational trainings and educational programme for self reliance and development” the Mayor said.

He expressed gratitude to Kennol Limited for the partnership in the distribution of engineering kits to the beneficiaries of the Kennol professional training and certification courses for plumbing and electrical, mechanical while saying that he looks forward to more of such collaborations in the future which would foster socioeconomic development in Ojodu LCDA.

 

The MD/CEO Of Kennol Limited, Engr Ogunduyile, who addressed Hon. Segun Odunmbaku as “Digital Chairman”, also remarked about the uniqueness Ojodu LCDA Mayor’s immense investment in human resource as it’s a more sustainable form of development. He also said that the young beneficiaries would be exposed to practical training of 26 years experience of his firm and advised parents of the beneficiaries to complement the efforts of Ojodu LCDA and ensure the beneficiaries have the necessary support to make sure their wards justify the confidence reposed in them.

 


Engr. Oloruntola Mutiu, President of Nigerian Association Of Technicians, who also graced the event, advised the beneficiaries to fully utilize the opportunity while Adedeji Daniel, on behalf of beneficiaries appreciated Ojodu LCDA and Kennol Limited for the gesture. Representative of the parents,
Mrs. Ajayi Peace, also thanked and prayed for the Ojodu LCDA Mayor.

 

In attendance were representatives of Ojodu LCDA led by Chief Of Staff, Mr. Dapo Adeoye, Supervisors For Education and Youths, Hon. Isaac Olanrewaju and Hon. Femi Fadeyi, HOD Education, Mrs. Ganiyat Bello, Parents of beneficiaries with Staff of both Kennol Limited and Arctic Consultants.
