Ojodu LCDA Takes Geriatric Outreach To Ward F Residents At Gabovies Centre

The ongoing efforts of the Hon. Segun Odunmbaku’s administration to enhance grassroots healthcare delivery received another boost yesterday as Ojodu LCDA extended its weekly geriatric medical outreach to Ward F, where elderly residents converged at the Gabovies Centre for comprehensive medical care.

The well-organised outreach recorded significant attendance, as senior citizens accessed a full spectrum of healthcare services including medical consultation, nursing care, physiotherapy, vital signs monitoring, nutritional assessment, drug administration and ambulance support for referrals where necessary.

The initiative, now running consecutively across the six wards, forms part of the administration’s strategic plan to provide accessible and preventive healthcare for elderly residents, many of whom face mobility and financial challenges when seeking medical attention.

Beneficiaries have expressed deep appreciation to the council chairman while the CDC Chairman, Pastor Segun Fayemi, commended the humane and community-driven approach of the Odunmbaku-led administration.

The representative of the Council Chairman and Councillor for Ward F, Hon Abbas Abiodun Bismillah, while addressing the press, noted that regular medical attention helps in early detection of age-related ailments and supports healthier living.
