MICHAEL AKINOLA

The Executive Chairman of Agbado/Okeodo LCDA, Dr. Augustine Adeoye Arogundade, has urged residents, motorists, traders and buyers in the area to go about their businesses as peace has been restored in the market and its environs after the crisis between some Hausa traders and some miscreants earlier yesterday.
According to the Chairman, “Immediately l was informed about the crisis, l had to contact leaders of the traders in the market and the DPO to ensure protection of lives, properties and wares in the market. And to the best of my knowledge, the Area Commander has done a wonderful job by personally leading the patrol team with the DPOs of Oke-Odo, Meiran and Alagbado Police Divisional Headquarters”.
“Security teams from RRS, Task Force and the State are also on ground here to provide maximum security while about 5 suspects that caused the chaos had been arrested by the Police authority. I thank God that no life was lost, but few people that were injured had been taken to hospitals for treatment.”
The Executive Chairman appealed to all residents and traders to maintain peace and trade in unity as the market is being modernised for their own betterment to ensure a conducive environment for buying and selling.
