Okiemute Ighorodje Is The MTN Project Fame 9th Season Winner

Okiemute Ighorodje on Saturday night emerged the winner of the season 9 of MTN Project Fame West Africa, taking home the grand price of N5 million, a brand new SUV, and a recording contract.
Even though, it was a stiff competition among the six finalists, 25-year-old Okiemute all through the talents competition days, dazzled all with her powerful vocal prowess and climaxed it with a stunning performance of Phyno’s “Fada Fada” at the closing gala.
Elizabeth emerged the first runner-up. She performed Tiwa Savage‘s “Standing Ovation” and got N3 million cash prize and a saloon car.
The second runner-up was Kitay, who went home with N2 million and a saloon car. He performed Kiss Daniels‘ “Mama” at the closing gala.
Pere who performed Sam Smith‘s “Writing on the Wall” at the closing gala, came fourth and also went home with N2 million. Dapo took the fifth spot, performing Labyrinth‘s “Jealous”. He went home with N1 million.
Winner came sixth and went home with N500,000. She performed Adele‘s “Hello” at the closing gala.
During the closing night, there were performances by YBNL Alternative music star, Adekunle Gold, and dance instructor Loveth.
Okiemute is a 25 year old Linguistics & Communications graduate from University of Port Harcourt.
With a contagious smile and a bubbly spirit, the Delta State-born singer and model described herself as a fun-loving individual.
Praiz Adejo, another Project fame alumni and X3M Music singer, who spoke on behalf of the judges, had nothing but glowing words to describe Ighorodje’s performance.
She joined the prestigious Hall Of Fame of Project Fame West Africa that includes Iyanya, Monica Ogah, Mike Anyasodo, Chidinma among others.
