Olatunde Oduwole Emerges Nigeria Scrabble King

Oduwole, newly crowned Nigerian Scrabble King

The competition tagged Champion of Champions was organised for top rank Nigerian Scrabble players who had won national, African and world championships, to determine the best of the best.

Held at Prestige Hotel, GRA, Benin City, from Friday, December 3, to Sunday, December 5, 44 players from across the country participated.

Among them were world number 3, Eta Karo, and world number 4/former world champion, Wellington Jighere.

After 21 rounds of the game, Olatunde Oduwole and Jighere emerged tops for the final best of three games gold Scrabble King match in which Oduwole defeated Jighere 2-1.
