Olorunda LCDA Hosts Lagos NULGE

The Olorunda NULGE Chapter led by Comr. Sunday Ogunfowora on Tuesday received the number one Labour leader in Lagos State, Comr. Afolabi Ajose, along with the Council Boss , Hon. Samson Olatunde , his Exco members amidst lots of joy as the the Chapter had a successful all inclusive workers forum at the Council Secretariat, Iworo, Badagry, Lagos.
The Executive Chairman of the Council, Hon. Samson Olatunde (SAMOLA) commended the Union on the way and manner staff matters are usually married with their responsibilities in the discharge their civil duties.
The hosting of the State NULGE Excos was not unconnected with the constitutionally guaranteed rights of workers to hold regular workers forum among union members, quarterly or on a yearly basis.

Appreciations and lots of encomiums were poured on the Executive Chairman for his numerous achievements in his one year in office, in different areas ranging from staff welfare, infrastructures, and other social amenities like the newly built Health Centre, Marriage registry, Legislative building, purchase of official vehicles to all legislators and supervisors; all in the bid to provide further development in the Council area.
Nonetheless,the staff of the council were also admonished by NULGE President to openly or secretly make their request or complains known at the forum in order to allow for progress in their work environment and improved welfare packages while demands for improvements on the welfare of the staff and the council management was also made known to the Council Boss at the forum.
Comr. Folabi Ajose, in his remarks however thanked Hon. SAMOLA, referring to him as a man of humility and fairness in his council administration especially as he desired to do more good things for the staff. He therefore urged him to do more in the area of transportation by buying a staff bus to commute them from strategic points and ease the general staff problem in that regard.
In the same vein, all the newly appointed 18 Special Assistants (SAs) by the Executive Chairman were also urged to swing to actions by the Executive Chairman of Olorunda LCDA, Hon. Samson Olatunde (SAMOLA).

The call was made shortly after the all important Quarterly Workers Forum organised by Olorunda Chapter of NULGE to bring all the Council workers together along with other stakeholders to enable them review and improve on their work conditions and other welfare matters.
The occasion was blissfully creamed with the presence of the Lagos State NULGE President, Comr. Afolabi Ajose and other State NULGE officials.
The programme no doubt enjoyed robust progressive deliberations among Staff, Management, Political Office holders and NULGEExecutives.
