Omobolanle Victor-Laniyan’s visionary leadership has led to numerous groundbreaking achievements. As a pivotal figure in sustainable finance, she was appointed to the technical committee for the development of the Global Reporting Initiative’s Financial Sector reporting standards. Also, she was the sole West African representative on the core global team responsible for developing the Global Principles for Responsible Banking on the UNEPFI platform.

In Nigeria, her foresight led to the initiation of the Nigeria Sustainable Finance Week, culminating in the landmark development and rollout of the Nigerian Sustainable Banking Principles (NSBP). This critical framework, implemented in collaboration with some DFIs, has since elevated sustainability performance across the nation’s financial institutions.
