ONC Honours Security Chiefs In Ahoada With Certificates Of Excellence

Notable Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress, ONC, led by its President-General, Amb. Comrade Emeni Ibe, on Friday, 30th January 2026, paid courtesy visits to key security formations in Ahoada, Rivers State, where it presented Certificates of Excellence to outstanding divisional commanders in recognition of their exemplary leadership and dedication to public safety.
The honourees included the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Nigeria Police Force, Ahoada Division; the Divisional Officer, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ahoada Division; and the Assistant Corps Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ahoada Unit.
Speaking during the separate presentations, Amb. Emeni Ibe described the visits as symbolic gestures of appreciation and partnership, noting that security remains the backbone of meaningful development in any society.
He commended the officers for their professionalism, discipline, integrity, and commitment to safeguarding lives and property within Ahoada and its environs.
According to him, the improved security coordination, enhanced community relations, and renewed public confidence recorded in Ahoada are clear reflections of purposeful leadership and people-oriented security management.
Amb. Ibe further emphasized that modern security is sustained through intelligence gathering, collaboration, respect for human rights, and active community engagement, adding that the officers have demonstrated that security agencies can be firm, professional, and community-friendly.
He explained that the Certificates of Excellence, though modest, carry a strong message that dedication to duty and excellence in public service will always be recognized and celebrated.
The ONC President-General also highlighted the mission of the Orashi National Congress as a socio-cultural umbrella body committed to peace, national unity, justice, and sustainable security. He outlined several initiatives of the Congress, including peace advocacy, anti-cultism campaigns, anti-pipeline vandalization efforts, arms surrender campaigns, youth sensitization, security workshops, and collaboration with security agencies.
Amb. Ibe reaffirmed the commitment of the Congress to continuous cooperation, information sharing, and community partnership with security agencies, stressing that security is a collective responsibility.
