At the end of a crucial meeting of the leadership of the Orashi National Congress, ONC, on Monday in Port Harcourt, the stakeholders in Orashi region unanimously passed a vote of confidence on the honourable Chief of Staff to the Rivers State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ehie Ogerenyi Edison, a true son and leader of Orashi.
Speaking to newsmen after the meeting, the President General, Amb. Comrade Emeni Ibe said, “Our true son, brother and leader of Orashi, your unwavering commitment to integrity and truth is truly admirable”.
“Your recent statement on Channels TV Politics, where you expressed your decision not to engage with Mr. George Nwaeke’s allegations, demonstrated your confidence in the judicial system and your determination to clear your name through the proper channels. Your instruction to your lawyers to file a case of criminal libel against Mr. Nwaeke sends a strong message that you will not tolerate baseless accusations.”
“As a respected leader and former Deputy Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, your reputation precedes you. Your contributions to the development of Rivers State, particularly in Ahoada East and Orashi Region, are well-documented. Your philanthropic efforts, such as youth employment, postgraduate scholarship to Ekpeye deserved students, donation of vehicles and ₦1 million each to the less privileged in Ahoada East LGA, demonstrate your compassion and commitment to the welfare of your people, hence this vote of confidence on you.”
“We urge you to remain steadfast in your pursuit of justice and truth. Your resolve to hold Mr. Nwaeke accountable for his allegations is a testament to your character and leadership. We have no doubt that your lawyers will diligently pursue this matter, and justice will prevail at the end.”
“Please accept our vote of confidence, support and solidarity on this matter. You are a shining example of integrity and leadership, and we are honoured to stand with your truth and benevolence. Accept our highest regards and esteemed solidarity.
Thanks and God bless you!” Amb. Comrade Emeni Ibe concluded on behalf of the Orashi National Congress.
