With ‘Legal Practice Unveiled’, Adenike Eichie Bridges The Gap For Aspiring Young Lawyers

Cerebral and well-travelled seasoned legal practitioner with 15 years of experience and a versatile HR and Business Management Professional, Barrister Adenike Regina Eichie can be said to have paid her dues with her newest contribution to the legal profession, in the form a book titled, Legal Practice Unveiled: A Practical Guide for Fresh Dynamic Lawyers.

This book couldn’t have come at more auspicious time as it addresses the gap preventing young lawyers from fully realising their potential in practical legal practice.

Her journey of excellence is marked by an impressive academic record and numerous accolades. She holds an LL. B from Lagos State University and a B.L from the Nigerian Law School. She further pursued her passion for empowering people and organizations with a master’s in human resources and industrial Relations from Lagos State University. This is followed by an Executive MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology in Washington, D.C. (United State of America)

Her relentless pursuit of knowledge is evident in her array of certifications, including the prestigious CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management at the Chartered Institute of personnel and development in United Kingdom, Prosci Certified Change Practitioner (United Kingdom) , and several advanced courses in intellectual property from the World Intellectual Property Organization (United State of America) which includes: General Course in Intellectual Property, Advanced Course in Copyright and Related Rights, Advanced Course in Intellectual Property Management.

Barrister Adenike currently serves as the Principal Partner at Tonik Law Partners, where she seamlessly blends her expertise in law with strategic people management and organizational development.

The launch of the book which came up on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at Rotary Centre, Ladoke Akintola Way, Ikeja GRA had some of the leading lights in the legal profession in attendance such as the Deputy Director general (Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus, Dean & Sub-Dean Faculty of Law, Lagos State University e.t.c).

The event was even more special for the vivacious author as it was a double celebration for her, being her 41st birthday celebration.

According to Barrister Adenike, ‘’One of the standout elements of the book is its focus on mental and emotional readiness. It encourages young lawyers to overcome fear, believe in their abilities, and cultivate a positive mindset—qualities essential for navigating the pressures of the legal profession’’.

Additionally, the book highlights how young lawyers can leverage technological advancements while maintaining ethical standards to help expand their reach, improve their practice, and adapt to the evolving legal landscape.

Practical Guidance: The book covers a broad spectrum of topics, from mastering essential skills to understanding complex legal procedures, all presented in a manner that is easy to follow and directly applicable to real-world scenarios.

Part of the initiatives being deployed by the author at the book launch is a fundraiser of N35 million. To help raise the money to donate 7000 copies of the book to all current law school students across the various Law School campuses in Nigeria spanning from – Lagos, Abuja, Enugu, Kano, Yola, and Port Harcourt. This is to ensure that regardless of their financial circumstances – they have access to this invaluable resource.

She desires to extend this initiative to 500L law students across all Faculty of law in every University with the right collaboration, donations, partnerships and endowments.
