ONC Pays Courtesy Visit To Eze Hon. (Dr.) Cassidy O. W. Ikegbidi

Respected Niger Delta socio-cultural group, Orashi National Congress, ONC, has paid a courtesy visit to Eze Hon. (Dr.) Cassidy O. W. Ikegbidi, Eze Igbu Akoh II. 
Members of the ONC leadership were at the palace of the respected monarch in Ihugbogo Community, Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State, on Sunday 14th July, 2024.
According to the ONC, the visit was to thank the monarch and equally register their deepest appreciation for the success recorded in the area of peace building towards sustainable security in Akoh Kingdom and Ekpeye in general.
In his address before Eze Igbu Akoh II, the President General of the Orashi National Orashi National Congress, ONC, Snr Comrade Amb Emeni Ibe said, “Your Majesty, we use this medium to appreciate you for your commitment to the promotion of the culture and traditions of the Ekpeye people, thereby promoting peace and unity. We extend our appreciation to you for your exemplary disposition, which is worthy of emulation”.
“We lack words to express the profound gratitude of our people. But all we can say is a big ‘Thank You’. And you can rest assured of our continued cooperation. We are proud of your achievements as the Natural Ruler and King of Akoh Kingdom, (cum the Acting Eze Ekpeye Logbo).”
Snr. Comrade Emeni Ibe also used the opportunity afforded by the visit to reiterate that the ONC has been in the forefront against pipeline vandalism, illegal refinery and kpo fire, cultism and has been championing peace initiatives with the cooperation of traditional rulers and security agencies.
It was also an opportunity for the ONC to seek the support of the respected monarch towards their forthcoming Orashi Peace, Unity and Security Summit scheduled for 30th July, 2024, at Ahoada Town. The group also pleaded with the monarch to help talk to other first class kings in the region to be part of the summit.
In his remarks, Eze Igbu Akoh II promised to support the group’s programme and to be physically present. He commended the ONC for their peaceful disposition and charged them to continue to advocate and champion for the peace, unity, security and development of the region.
