P.M.EXPRESS reports that the Congress paid the visit on Wednesday 12th November, 2025, at the Palace, Omoku.

In his speech during the royal visit, the President General of the Congress said, “It is with great joy and profound gratitude that I, Amb Emeni Ibe, by the special grace of God Almighty led this great delegation for a courtesy/solidarity visit to you Sir. It is in appreciation of your faithful discharge of duties as Oba Eze Ogba of Ogba land, towards the promotion of security, healthy-cohesion, tradition, culture and peaceful coexistence among the people, especially for providing the enabling environment for even development in all communities in the Kingdom”.

“We pledge our cooperation and total support to your Eminence, as the Oba Eze Ogba Ogba of Ogba land. We are here to commend you for the developmental strides attracted to Ogba Kingdom. Your blueprint for development shows that you are well prepared and we believe that you deserve the support of all and sundry for this move. We therefore, commend your contributions in promoting peace and harmony within the kingdoms, even beyond Orashi to Rivers State and Niger Delta.”

“We bring to your notice that we are not in support of plans by Oando Energy Ltd to withdraw from the maintenance of community electricity supply. To us, it is unjust, insensitive, and unacceptable. Such an action, if allowed, would not only breach long-standing agreements between the company and its host communities but also deepen the already existing economic marginalization faced by the people.”

“The Orashi National Congress is an independent socio-cultural umbrella organization of Orashi people, whose aims and objective among others are the advocation for sustainable regional development, security and preaching of peace, national unity and justice particularly to enlighten and mobilize Orashi people to always use dialogue in resolving conflicts and consulting with security agencies.”

“The ONC has the aims and ambition of contributing our quota towards bettering the society by creating conducive harmonious environment with focus on actualizing the ideals of better society and reduction of crime like cultism, pipeline vandalization, youth restiveness and terrorism etc.”

“We carry out the following activities: public enlightenment campaign for the returns of arms illegally possessed and sensitization campaign on flood, agitation for the creation of more Local Government Areas, and support for the creation of Orashi State, Orashi peace walk (aka) Waka for peace, talk shop for military/civilian cordial interface, anti-pipeline vandalization campaign, anti-bunkering initiative, anti-kidnapping campaign, operation walk with security agencies and operation give honour to traditional rulers, amongst others.”

“Let me, on behalf of the leadership of the Orashi National Congress, most humbly express our solidarity to Your Eminence once again.”

“We thank you for this opportunity and attention for granting our request to meeting with you as our grand patron; please accept our highest esteem and best regards. We hereby pledge our loyalty and support to your continuous leadership.”

In his response, His Eminence, Barr. Nwachukwu Obuoha Obi III, commended the Orashi National Congress for its dedication to the cause of the Orashi people, acknowledging its proactive voice in regional advocacy.

The highly respected monarch stated, “I have followed your activities closely and seen your consistency in speaking up for our people. I congratulate you and your team for the good work you are doing”.

“Our history as a people is clear — we are one and the same. This bond was sealed long ago and cannot be broken. Anyone attempting to separate us is wasting time because a child cannot be separated from his mother; blood and spirit bind us together.”

The monarch also gave his firm backing for the creation of Orashi State, describing it as both “rightful and sustainable”.

“We have the people, capacity, and leadership to manage our affairs. Movements like this begin with a few voices, but they grow into a wave that cannot be stopped. When success comes, even those who opposed you will join in celebration.”

“Ogba, Ekpeye, and all Orashi brothers are one. God Himself decided where headship lies, and no man can change that. Those fighting unity are only wasting their time.”

In a warm gesture, His Eminence, the Oba Eze Ogba of Ogbaland, extended an invitation to the Orashi National Congress to attend the forthcoming INCHKA Festival, a major cultural celebration of the Ogba Kingdom, symbolizing unity, heritage, and continuity.

The grand visit was concluded with prayers and reaffirmation of partnership between the palace and the Orashi National Congress to foster peace, cultural integrity, and regional development.
