ONC President General, Emeni Ibe Mourns Lieutenant Felix Ademe Isaac

The President General of the Orashi National Congress, ONC, Ambassador Comrade Emeni Ibe, JP, AP, has expressed profound sadness over the death of Lieutenant Felix Ademe Isaac, a gallant officer who died in the line of duty while rescuing kidnapped teachers and schoolchildren in Oyo State.

Lieut. Isaac, 28, paid the ultimate price during a rescue operation that secured the release of victims who had spent 56 days in captivity. He was laid to rest with full military honours on the same day the rescued children and teachers regained their freedom.

In a condolence message, Amb. Ibe said the nation must remember the cost behind every successful rescue.

“While families are celebrating the safe return of the abducted teachers and schoolchildren in Oyo State, one family is grieving the loss of their own hero. Please accept our deepest condolences,” he stated.

“Lieutenant Felix Ademe Isaac, just 28 years old, paid the ultimate price during the rescue mission that brought the victims home after 56 days in captivity. He was laid to rest with full military honours on the very day the rescued children regained their freedom.

“He knew the risks. He answered the call anyway.”

The ONC President General noted that behind every safe return are men and women of the armed forces who risk everything so that others can be reunited with their loved ones.

“Behind every successful rescue are brave men and women who put their lives on the line so strangers can return to their loved ones. Lt. Isaac never made it back, but because of his sacrifice, innocent children did,” he said.

“May his courage never be forgotten, and may God comfort his family and every family of our fallen heroes.”

Amb. Ibe, on behalf of the Orashi National Congress, extended heartfelt sympathies to the Nigerian Armed Forces, the family of the late officer, and all Nigerians mourning his loss.

“Rest in peace, Lieutenant Felix Ademe Isaac. Your sacrifice will never be in vain,” he concluded.

The ONC called on government at all levels to continue to support the families of fallen servicemen and to adequately equip security forces to reduce such losses in future operations.
