ONC Set To Celebrate Prof Ngozi Odu In Grand Style On 19th October

Notable Niger Delta socio-cultural group, Orashi National Congress, ONC, has set plans in motion to specially celebrate their Grand Patroness, Prof Ngozi Odu, the Deputy Governor of Rivers State, on the occasion marking her birthday on 19th October, 2025.

Making the disclosure to the media on Monday, the President General of the Orashi National Congress, ONC, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe said, “Prof Ngozi Odu, aside being our Grand Patroness, is an illustrious daughter of Orashi region and the Orashi people are proud of her achievements over the years”.

“The Orashi National Congress has therefore, set plans in motion for a historic birthday celebration in honour of the Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Prof Ngozi Odu. And as part of the historic celebration, in her honour, the ONC will be visiting motherless babies homes, orphanages and home for destitutes with food items and gifts so that the less privileged can be part of the birthday anniversary.”

“There will also be Special Thanksgiving Service in four different locations in four Local Government Areas of Orashi simultaneously that Sunday. We are not just celebrating her birthday, we are equally using the occasion to thank God for restoring democratic governance in our beloved state after six months of emergency rule. We will also use the occasion to pray for Divine direction and guidance on behalf of His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara and his Deputy for the greatest development of Rivers State and progressive governance as peace is returning to our dear state.”

“It must be noted that the ONC is rolling out the drums specially for Prof Ngozi Odu not just as our Grand Patroness. She has been a huge source of inspiration to innumerable number of Rivers people especially Orashi sons and daughters. She remains a pillar of support to many and nothing is too grand for the ONC to do to celebrate its Grand Patroness” Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe stated.
