ONC & SYF Congratulate Rt. Hon. Ehie & Pledge Strong Support For Gov Fubara

Following the recent developments in Rivers State, the leadership of the Orashi National Congress and Southern Youth Foundation of Nigeria have congratulated Rt. Hon. Edison Ehie on his emergence as the new Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly while pledging their unalloyed support for the Executive Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.
In a statement signed by Snr. Comrade Emeni Ibe, the groups said, “On behalf of the leadership of the Orashi National Congress and Southern Youth Foundation of Nigeria, we wish to congratulate Rt. Hon. Edison Ehie on his emergence as the new Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly”
“It is interesting to note that the original symbol of authority of the House, the Mase, was sighted and the Clerk of the House was equally present when the House sat as true representatives of the people.”
“At this juncture, we declare our support for the elected Governor of the State, His Excellency, Siminalayi Fubara GSSRS. The Leadership of the Southern Youth Foundation of Nigeria and the Orashi National Congress are solidly behind you Sir.”
“We equally use this medium to plead with our immediate former Governor, Barr Nyesom Ezenwo Wike CON, GSSRS, to allow the rule of law to prevail. Peace and development are all we want in the state. Rivers State should not be plunged into crisis because of perceived personal interests. The Governor should be allowed to govern the state. Let all parties therefore, maintain peace and order.”
“Our Governor, Fubara, so far has championed policies and initiatives that have positively impacted the lives of the people. Personal interests and power struggles should not hinder our progress as we expect that the mandate given to him by Rivers people must be respected.”
“The unity and progress of our dear Rivers State should be the primary goal of all of us at this point in our history. “
