Ondo State Ministry Of Women Affairs And Social Development Mourns Former Commissioner, Mrs. Olasimi Akindele-Odunmbaku

The Ondo State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, under the leadership of the Honourable Commissioner, Dr. Seun Osamaye, has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of former Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs. Olasimi Akindele-Odunmbaku.

In a condolence message issued in Akure, Dr. Osamaye described the late Mrs. Akindele-Odunmbaku as a distinguished public servant whose  commitment to the advancement of women, children, and other vulnerable members of society left an enduring legacy in the Ministry and across Ondo State.

The Commissioner noted that during her tenure between, October 2015– February 2017, Mrs. Akindele-Odunmbaku demonstrated dedication to promoting the welfare of women, championing gender equality, and strengthening programmes aimed at protecting the rights and dignity of children and vulnerable groups.

Her passion for community development, grassroots empowerment, and inclusive governance earned her the admiration and respect of colleagues, stakeholders, and the people she served.

Dr. Osamaye stated that the Ministry has lost one of its devoted leaders whose invaluable contributions laid a solid foundation for many of the initiatives that continue to impact lives on

She prayed that Almighty God grants the family the strength and fortitude to bear this painful and irreparable loss, while granting the departed eternal rest.
