Onigbongbo Council Boss Bags 2020 Award For Covid-19 Response

Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area has been awarded the most responsive Local Government to the 2020 first wave of the coronavirus pandemic crisis out of the 20 Local Governments and 37 Local Council Development Areas in Lagos State.

The award is in recognition of the Council boss for his swift response and sensitization messages on the pandemic so as to convince the residents of the Council area to adhere to government’s rules, submit themselves for testing so that the infected persons could be isolated and treated.

The digital council boss, Hon Oladotun Olakanle(fpa), earned praises on Wednesday 27th January, 2021, during the presentation of the ‘Distinguished Covid -19 Responder’ from the publisher of Lagos Panorama, Comrade Tayo Aderinola, who said that Onigbongbo LCDA has contributed so much in the fight against the global pandemic within the Council area.

In his acceptance speech, the Council boss, Hon Oladotun Olakanle (fpa), on behalf of the entire late Francis Babatunde Oke’s family, Management of the Council, and his humble self, thanked the entire team of Lagos Panorama for deeming it fit to also honour the late Chairman with ‘Posthumous’ Award of ‘Distinguished 2020 Covid Responder’ and recognising the efforts of the Council during the serious 2020 pandemic era.
