Ooni Celebrates Olowu Of Owu At 62

The Permanent Chairman of the Southern Nigerian Traditional Rulers Council (SNTRC), Arole Oodua Olofin Adimula and the Natural Head of the Oduduwa race worldwide, the Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, CFR, Ojaja II, has felicitated with the Olowu of Owu Kuta Kingdom in Osun State, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Hammed Oyelude Makama, CON, Tegbosun II, on the occasion of his 62nd birthday anniversary.

According to a statement on Tuesday and signed by the Director of Media and Public Affairs, Ooni’s Palace, Otunba Moses Olafare, said the Ooni who is also the Co-Chairman of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria (NCTRN) described Oba Oyelude Makama as a highly respected traditional ruler whose reign has continued to promote peace, unity, cultural values and sustainable development among his people.

The Ooni commended the monarch for his unwavering commitment to the progress of Owu Kuta Kingdom, noting that his leadership has reflected the virtues of wisdom, humility and service to humanity.

While celebrating the Olowu of Owu Kuta’s remarkable journey, the Ooni acknowledged his contributions to strengthening the institution of traditional leadership and preserving the rich heritage of the Yoruba people.

“Oba Hammed Oyelude Makama, CON, Tegbosun II, has distinguished himself as a custodian of culture, a promoter of peace and a bridge-builder whose reign continues to inspire confidence and unity among his subjects and beyond.

“I celebrate His Royal Majesty on this auspicious occasion. May the Almighty Olodumare continue to bless him with good health, wisdom, longevity and greater accomplishments as he continues to serve his people,” the Ooni stated.

The Ooni prayed for the continued prosperity of Owu Kuta Kingdom and wished the revered monarch many more years of impactful reign and fulfilment.
