Orashi National Congress Commends Senator Ipalibo Banigo For Empowerment Initiatives

The Orashi National Congress, ONC, has applauded Senator Dr. Mrs. Ipalibo Harry Banigo, DSSRS, former Deputy Governor of Rivers State and current Senator representing Rivers West Senatorial District, for her remarkable strides in human capacity development through various empowerment programmes.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the President General of ONC, Amb. Comrade Emeni Ibe (JP, AP), commended the Senator for her proactive approach to governance and her commitment to improving the lives of her constituents within a relatively short time in office.

Recall that Senator Banigo, in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, recently organized and sponsored 100 constituents for a three-day intensive agricultural training on bird production.

The training, which was held in Omoku, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area, focused on equipping participants with practical knowledge and hands-on experience to sustain poultry production.

Beneficiaries of the programme did not only gain technical know-how but were also supported with starter packs that included broiler birds, drugs and supplements, feeds, specially designed cages, cash grants to boost startup operations, and certificates of participation.

Amb. Ibe further noted that beyond agriculture, Senator Banigo has also initiated free healthcare programmes and provided financial support to graduate students, underscoring her dedication to the welfare and advancement of her people.

He praised her effective representation and delivery of democratic dividends to the Rivers West Senatorial District while urging her to sustain the momentum.

“We commend Senator Banigo for her numerous empowerment initiatives and her passion for serving the people. We pray that God Almighty continues to grant her wisdom, strength, and good health to deliver a successful tenure,” Amb. Ibe stated.
