Orashi National Congress Mourns The Passing Of Prince Ugochukwu Ebelogu Franklin

The Orashi National Congress (ONC), the foremost socio-cultural organization representing the interests and unity of the Orashi ethnic nationalities in Rivers State, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Prince Ugochukwu Ebelogu Franklin, describing his death as a great loss to the Orashi region and to all who knew him.

In a solemn statement signed by the President General of the ONC, Amb. Snr. Comr. Emeni Ibe, the organization extended its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved Ebelogu family, friends, and the entire community of Edeoha where Prince Franklin hailed from.

“We received with great shock and sadness the news of the untimely death of our dear son and brother, Prince Ugochukwu Ebelogu Franklin. His departure is a painful loss, not just to his immediate family, but to the entire Orashi Nation, where he was widely known for his humility, wisdom, and quiet but impactful contributions to community growth,” the statement read.

Prince Franklin was known for his deep commitment to peace, youth development, and community service within Ahoada East Local Government Area and beyond. He was a vibrant, thoughtful personality whose presence inspired many young people to pursue positive values and civic responsibility.

The ONC noted that Prince Franklin’s legacy of compassion, leadership, and unity will forever remain a beacon for the Orashi people and called on the younger generation to emulate his sense of responsibility and dedication to community service.

“We stand in solidarity with the Ebelogu family at this moment of grief. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. May the Almighty grant them the strength to bear this irreparable loss, and may the soul of our dearly departed Prince find rest in the bosom of the Lord.”

Plans are underway for the leadership of ONC to pay a condolence visit to the Ebelogu family in the coming days, as a mark of respect and solidarity.

As the Orashi region mourns the loss of one of its illustrious sons, tributes continue to pour in from across the state, with many recalling Prince Ugochukwu Ebelogu Franklin’s rare leadership qualities, humility, and unwavering dedication to the betterment of his people.
