Organisers Announce N260m Windfall For God’s Children Great Talent Season 7 Winner

Some of Nigeria’s finest artistes, actors and entertainers came together Tuesday, 7 March for the ground breaking unveil of Season 7 of God’s Children Great Talent (GCGT).

At the media unveil event held at Four Points By Sheraton, Victoria Island, Lagos, organisers announced a bounty of N260 million total package (N10 million grand prize and N250 million management deal) for the winner of what has been described as Africa’s biggest gospel talent competition for children and youth.

Speaking at the event, Pastor Idowu Iluyomade, Head of RCCG Apapa, said, “We are really thrilled to be unveiling the seventh season of God’s Children Got Talents, GCGT. Nigeria has some amazing talents waiting to be discovered and nurtured. It will be of great pleasure to reward the winner of this year’s season finale with the grand prize of N10 million, a brand new car and a management deal worth N250 million.”

According to her, the search this season covers four main categories that include Music, Dance, Comedy and Spoken word. Aspiring contestants between ages 5 -20 would compete for the ultimate star prize.

Also revealed at the unveil event were reality television star Uti Nwachukwu and Ayo Thompson as hosts for this year’s edition, as well as the talent show judges -Kaffy, Omawumi Mgbele and TY Mix.

The media unveil hosted by the City of David Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in partnership with the HOW foundation, featured exciting performances from past winners of God’s Children Great Talent competition.

Guests were also treated to special highlights from previous editions of the GCGT competition.

Similar to past editions, Season 7 participants are requested to register online at www.gcgt.org and stand a chance to be selected during the regional auditions coming soon.

This precedes selection to the regional auditions, boot camp, semi finals and the grand finale scheduled to hold in June at the Eko Hotels & Suites, Lagos.

This year’s GCGT competition, an initiative of the City of David Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, will be produced  by top events production company, Livespot in collaboration with OHTV and televised on partnet stations in Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
