Ambassador of Nigerian Football Supporter Club, Billionaire Kenneth Uzoigwe has promised to support the Asisat Oshoala Foundation’s 2021 event, the Football for Girls project scheduled to hold in Lagos, in December.

The Football4girls project is one of many projects from the Asisat Oshoala Foundation, and the idea is for girls to come together to learn the basics of football from Asisat herself, while also reminding them of the importance of education.

The Football for Girls project has been running for seven years, and the 2021 edition will hold in Lagos at the Campus Mini-Stadium, Lagos Island, where over 1000 schools girls from across Nigeria will participate in the clinic.

For this year’s event, there will be a mentorship session, education, medical health day, drills, and many more, while there will also be an all-star game, where top Nigerian celebrities will face off with Super Eagles all-stars (including some ex internationals).

Captain of the Nigeria women’s national team and Barcelona forward, Asisat Oshoala commended Kenneth Uzoigwe, for his unflinching support for sportsmen and women in the country, as well as initiatives to develop sports from the grassroots.

She said: “What Chief Kenneth Uzoigwe is doing to support sports in Nigeria is very commendable, and on behalf of my humble self and my foundation, I will like to say a big thank you to him for agreeing to support the Football for Girls project this year. I am sure the girls will be excited.”
