Osun Pension: Oyetola Releases Another N958 Million

The Governor of the State of Osun, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola, has released the sum of Nine Hundred and Fifty-eight Million Naira (N 958,000,000) as part of his commitment to improve the welfare of retired civil servants and workers of the State.

In a press release signed by the Head of Service, Dr Festus Olowogboyega Oyebade, the sum of Five Hundred and Eight Million Naira (N508,000,000) of the released sum was approved for the payment of retired civil servants under the old pension scheme, while an additional sum of Three Hundred and Fifty Million Naira (N350,000,000) was approved for the payment of retirees under the contributory pensions scheme.

Oyebade added that an additional One Hundred Million Naira was approved for the payment of gratuities of retired officers under the old pension scheme.

According to the release, the list of beneficiaries of the approved sum has been pasted on the notice board of the Ministry of Information and Civic Orientation, the State’s Pension Bureau and the Office of the Head of Service.

“Payment of the released funds starts on Thursday, 3rd February 2022.

“Governor Adegboyega Oyetola assures all workers, both serving and retired that things can only get better under his watch and will always give workers welfare the pride of place it deserves as an avowed believer in the creed that welfare and security of the people are the primary purpose of government”, the statement added.
