The newly appointed Secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Electoral Committee, Rev Paul Eze, has expressed his commitment to make sacrifices and be part of the team to bring unity, progress and lasting peace in Ohanaeze Lagos chapter.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Rev Eze stated this having accepted to serve as the Secretary of the electoral committee. He also commended the President General of Ohanaeze, Senator John Mbata, for his verdict by confirming Chief Solomon Aguene as the president of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Lagos State, based on the Court judgment.

He stated: “As I reflect on the recent developments in Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos, I am compelled to commend Senator John Mbata, the esteemed President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, for his wise and courageous leadership”.

“His decision to uphold the faction operating with the consent of the Court has brought the much needed stability to our organisation. I applaud Senator Mbata for his commitment to the rule of law and the wellbeing of the Igbo community in Lagos.”

“Senator Mbata’s verdict is a testament to his leadership qualities and ability to make tough decisions without fear or favour.”

“His dedication to the principles of justice and fairness has earned him the respect and admiration of the Igbo community in Lagos and beyond.”

“I also want to express my deepest appreciation to Chief Solomon Aguene, for his willingness to submit to the President General’s verdict. This gesture demonstrates his commitment to peace and unity within Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos. I acknowledge Chief Solomon’s contributions to the organisation, including his innovative ideas and tireless efforts.”

“Personally, I must admit that I would have been inclined to accept the outcome of the election that brought forth Chief  Sunday Ossai. However, given the President’s verdict upholding the court- consented faction, I am duty bound to respect the law of the land as directed by the holy scripture. As we all know, the law supercedes every individual or group interest, and I have no other option but to abide by this principle.”

“In the light of the President General’s decision, I accept the position of the Secretary of the electoral committee as recommended by the President of Ohanaeze Lagos State, Chief Dr. Solomon Aguene (Udochia) and look forward to working with him and others to strengthen our organisation.”

“My priority is to promote peace, unity, and progress within Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Lagos. I firmly believe that the law of the land must guide our actions, and we must prioritize the general interest of Ohanaeze Lagos over individual interests.”

“I urge all members to make sacrifices for the greater good of the organisation. Together, we can overcome our challenges and build a stronger, more United Ohanaeze Lagos. Let us work towards a brighter future for our community, guided by the principles of justice, fairness and unity.”

“Finally, may we continue to strive for excellence and make Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos a beacon of hope and progress for the Igbo Community in Lagos” Rev. Paul Eze concluded.
