The marriage between Mrs. Yinka Adebiyi and her husband, Hezekiah, has crashed in Lagos after she reportedly informed him that their 7-year old son belonged to her lover, Taiwo Ajala and subsequently handed the boy to Ajala.

The 28-year old woman, Mrs. Yinka Adebiyi, said that she knew that the child belonged to Taiwo Ajala despite the fact that she was married to Hezekiah. And so had decided to give the boy to his father after she had disagreement with her husband, Hezekiah.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Billaminu Street, Orile area of Lagos, where Mrs. Yinka lived with her husband, Hezekiah, before she handed the boy over toTaiwo and left the house.

But the embattled husband, Hezekiah, did not believe her claims and went to the Police in the area and reported that Yinka and Taiwo stole his child claiming that the child belonged to Ajala.

The Police then arrested Yinka and Taiwo and transferred them to the Gender Section of the Command for them to prove that the child actually belonged to Taiwo Ajala.

During interrogation, the Police reportedly discovered that the suspects had no proof for their claims and subsequently charged both of them before the Ogba Magistrates Court for conspiracy and stealing of the child.

When they were arraigned, they pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Supol Bisi Ogunleye, asked the Court to give a date for hearing to enable the Police to prove that the defendants actually committed the alleged offence.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. E. Kubeinje, granted them bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood.

The matter was adjourned till 1st February, 2022, for mention while the defendants were remanded in custody pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.
