The Director of the City Boy Movement in Oyo State, Hon. Olufemi Onireti, has reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to working with all party structures, wards, and stakeholders across the state to secure the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and to return Oyo State to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He said this in a statement made available to newsmen today, describing this mission as a collective responsibility to the people, and one being pursued with coordination, clarity of purpose, and unwavering dedication.
He noted that the City Boy Movement has evolved into a vibrant and deeply rooted grassroots network driven by individuals who understand local realities.
According to him, the movement’s strength is visible not only in its growing numbers but also in its active engagement across communities, zones, and local councils.
“We are not bystanders; we are part of the system we seek to improve. Our connection to the people enables us to mobilise effectively, communicate clearly, and remain aligned with the needs and expectations of citizens,” he said.
The Director commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for demonstrating firm resolve in tackling long-standing national challenges and laying a foundation for a more stable and productive economy.
He acknowledged that while some policy outcomes are already evident, others require time, consistency, and continued public backing to yield lasting impact.
He urged Nigerians, particularly the people of Oyo State to remain steadfast during this period.
“This is not the time to waver. It is the time to stand firmly behind a leadership committed to long-term progress,” he stated.
He assured the people of Oyo State that their trust in the movement and the APC is well placed.
According to him, the mission to reclaim the state and restore governance that genuinely reflects the will of the people is being pursued with absolute focus and dedication.
“We will stay the course. We will stay connected to you. Together, we will achieve the outcomes we desire,” he affirmed.
The statement concluded with a call for sustained support from residents of Oyo State.
He urged them to keep faith with the City Boy Movement and remain confident that the collective efforts underway will lead to success.
